Memecoin Trader Loses $60M, Still Predicts $1 Trillion Market Cap for SPX6900
Cryptocurrency trader Murad Mahmudov has been a prominent figure in the memecoin sector, but recent developments have left him facing significant losses. According to data from Arkham Intelligence, his portfolio, which is mostly invested in SPX6900, has suffered an unrealized loss of approximately $60 million over the past nine months.
At its peak in July last year, Mahmudov's portfolio was valued at around $67 million. However, the broader memecoin sector, including SPX, corrected by more than 80% from its highs, resulting in a substantial decline for Mahmudov's holdings.
The trader still holds on to his positions, despite the significant losses. His refusal to sell is notable, given the brutal treatment of memecoins by the market. Some of his smaller wallet holdings show signs of being barely functional, with very low liquidity and transaction activity.
