A recent poll conducted by Politico has shed light on the priorities of U.S. voters heading into the midterm elections. According to the survey, cryptocurrency policy ranks low among voter concerns, with only 4% of respondents identifying it as a top issue.
The majority of voters are focused on economic and consumer protection issues, including housing affordability, consumer fraud prevention, and reducing bank fees. These concerns have overshadowed crypto-specific legislation, such as the Clarity Act, which only 18% of respondents identified as a priority.
The poll suggests that despite the growing presence of digital assets in financial markets, the broader electorate remains focused on tangible, everyday economic challenges. Industry groups have pushed for clearer rules to foster innovation and protect investors, but the poll indicates that this message has not yet resonated with the majority of voters.
