Swiss Crypto Campaigners Abandon Plebiscite Efforts on SNB Holdings

Swiss crypto campaigners have given up their bid to compel the Swiss National Bank to hold Bitcoin, according to Reuters.

The initiative, spearheaded by Yves Bennaim, sought to force the central bank to accept cryptocurrency holdings. However, the campaign fell short of collecting enough signatures to trigger a plebiscite.

Bennaim acknowledged that the effort was always an uphill battle, stating that it 'was a long shot' from the start.
