Colombia Aims to Tap Renewable Energy for Bitcoin Mining Hub

Colombia is considering leveraging its abundant renewable energy resources to establish itself as a major player in the global bitcoin mining market.

The proposal, put forward by President Gustavo Petro, would see the country's Caribbean coast cities host bitcoin mining facilities that utilize excess renewable power from sources such as hydropower and wind turbines.
