Teenager's Token Launch Sparks Chaos in Crypto Market

A recent incident in the crypto market has highlighted the volatile nature of token prices and the ease with which they can be manipulated.

On November 20, 2024, a 13-year-old streamer went live on Pump.fun, launching a new token called Gen Z Quant ($QUANT).

The token's price skyrocketed in the minutes following its launch, increasing by over 260% before being dumped by the creator.

However, the market had other plans. Traders revived the token, causing its momentum to spiral and its market cap to reach an eye-watering $82M-$90M.
