Bitcoin Posts Winning Week Amid Middle East Tensions
Bitcoin (BTC) is ending the week on a high note, up 1% as of July 10 and poised for a winning week despite renewed tensions in the Middle East. The largest cryptocurrency has shaken off recent volatility, trading at $63,900 U.S. late on Friday.
Oil prices spiked following attacks between the U.S. and Iran, causing ripples across global financial markets. However, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have managed to maintain their momentum.
Ethereum (ETH) is also up 2%, trading near $1,800 U.S., its highest level since June. Investors are eyeing the July 10 IPO of South Korean chipmaker SK Hynix, which debuted on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol 'SKHY'.
