Morgan Stanley is expanding its digital asset push with the launch of its first spot bitcoin ETF, the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust. The fund will be listed on NYSE Arca under the ticker MSBT and will hold actual bitcoin, tracking the CoinDesk Bitcoin Benchmark 4 PM NY Settlement Rate.
The trust's annual fee is 0.14%, undercutting BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust and most rivals. This marks a significant milestone for the market as a major U.S. bank brings a spot bitcoin ETF to investors, reinforcing the growing institutionalization of bitcoin.
