Sui Network Struggles with Second Consecutive Outage Amid Technical Issues

The Sui Network, a Layer-1 blockchain developed by Mysten Labs, has encountered another technical issue after experiencing an earlier six-hour outage on May 28.

According to the network's status dashboard, block production halted for over three and a half hours before being restored, causing disruptions in its operations.

The outages were attributed to bugs introduced in the 1.72 software upgrade, which aimed to address balances and gas charging logic.

Despite assurances from the Sui team that a more comprehensive fix has been deployed by most validators, this marks the second major technical failure for Sui in 2026, raising questions about its network resilience.
