The builder behind Pons has been identified as the same individual who founded RootsFi in May 2025, a Berachain lending protocol that minted the MEAD stablecoin. The builder's track record suggests a commitment to transparency, with public forum posts detailing design choices and answering critics.

However, the lack of concrete information about the builder's identity raises concerns about accountability and trust in the launchpad ecosystem.
