The use of sugarcane biomass for Bitcoin mining is an attractive option due to its potential for reduced carbon emissions compared to fossil-fuel-based grids. Bagasse, the fibrous material left behind after sugarcane processing, can be burned to generate steam, which spins turbines to produce electricity. This surplus energy can then be sold to the grid or redirected to other uses.
