Tether Redesigns Mining Hardware for Enhanced Scalability
Tether has made a significant change in its approach to large-scale crypto mining, moving from traditional fixed rigs to modular systems. This shift aims to increase flexibility, efficiency, and performance control across operations. The company has divided infrastructure into separate functional components for better scalability.
The new system separates compute, power, and cooling layers, allowing operators to fine-tune performance and manage systems more precisely. Each layer can be adjusted independently, enabling focused upgrades and minimizing downtime.
Tether is collaborating with Canaan Inc. and ACME Swisstech to develop the modular approach, which features application-specific hashboard modules linked to control and thermal systems.
