Tokenized Equities to Unlock $2 Trillion for Global Investors

Binance Research has released a market commentary on the potential scale of tokenized equities, arguing that crypto exchanges could channel up to $2 trillion in additional capital and bring close to 300 million new investors into global equity markets by 2031.

The report highlights several elements that could accelerate adoption of tokenized equities, including market access and fractional ownership, settlement using stablecoins, and new product types and trading activity.

Tokenization aims to address the participation gap in global equity markets, where most jurisdictions outside the United States have equity ownership rates well below 20 percent of the population.
