Hyundai Motor Taps Avalanche Blockchain for Cross-Border Remittance System

Hyundai Motor has taken a significant step in the realm of cross-border remittances by launching an internal system on the Avalanche blockchain. The pilot project, led by Hyundai Card, successfully completed its first transfer of $20,000 USDT from its U.S. subsidiary to its Mexican counterpart.

The use of the Avalanche public blockchain for this transfer allows for faster and more efficient processing times compared to traditional methods. This initiative marks a notable move towards embracing blockchain technology in the financial sector.

Hyundai Card plans to conduct a second-stage pilot in Europe, in collaboration with Circle and Visa. The project's goal is to streamline cross-border transactions and reduce costs associated with remittances.
