Spiral Expands into AI, Bringing Autonomous Agents to Open-Source

Spiral, an independent open-source project funded by Block, has expanded into artificial intelligence (AI) by bringing in the core team behind Block's Goose AI framework.

The goal is to transform Goose into a more comprehensive open-source platform for building autonomous AI agents. Jack Dorsey believes that both Bitcoin and AI should develop as open ecosystems rather than being controlled by a few large tech companies, aligning with his previous statements.

Spiral has traditionally focused on funding Bitcoin developers, enhancing security, supporting the Lightning Network, creating wallets and infrastructure, and contributing to open-source tools for Bitcoin. Unlike other crypto companies, Spiral doesn't develop proprietary software; instead, it aims to benefit the entire Bitcoin community.
