South Korean Companies Launch Live Blockchain Remittance System
In a move that highlights South Korea's commitment to blockchain adoption, Hana Financial Group, POSCO International, and Dunamu have launched a live blockchain remittance system. This system uses distributed ledger technology to enable faster and more transparent cross-border payments.
The new system is focused on trade finance operations, which involve the exchange of invoices, purchase orders, and shipping documents. By using blockchain, the companies aim to reduce the time and costs associated with these transactions.
Hana Financial Group brings its banking muscle to the partnership, while POSCO International handles global trade flows. Dunamu, which operates South Korea's dominant crypto exchange Upbit, provides expertise in navigating complex payment systems.
