BTQ Technologies Advances Quantum Protection with Bitcoin Testnet
BTQ Technologies has made significant strides in developing a quantum-protected Bitcoin network, releasing version v0.3.0 of the Bitcoin Quantum testnet. The key innovation lies in the implementation of BIP-360, also known as P2MR (Post-Quantum Merkle Root), which addresses a vulnerability in Taproot.
BIP-360 removes the possibility of key-path spending by recording commitments in the root of the Merkle tree without using a private key. This feature is crucial for protecting public keys on the blockchain from potential attacks by quantum computers in the future.
