US Treasury Aims to Bolster Bitcoin Reserves and Pushes for CLARITY Act Passage

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent revealed that his department is working towards establishing a robust Bitcoin reserve and expanding the country's digital asset stockpile.

The current Bitcoin reserves held by the US are valued at around $215 billion, comprising 328,372 units of the cryptocurrency. The majority of these assets have been seized from various sources, but there has been no indication that the department plans to purchase additional Bitcoins on the open market.
