Sui Network Hit by Third Transaction Halt Amid Outage Wave
Sui, a high-performance blockchain, has experienced its third transaction halt in just over two days. The network was halted due to 'gas charging logic' changes that were implemented to make stablecoin transactions free.
On its official status page, Sui indicated that the network stopped processing transactions at 7:58 AM EDT, affecting operability completely. The Sui team acknowledged this issue on social media, stating that their mainnet was experiencing a 'network stall' and that they were looking for a solution.
The network resumed transaction processing at 11:34 AM EDT. However, the team explained that both today's and yesterday's problems were linked to the same 'gas charging logic' changes. They stated that yesterday's implemented fix had a known issue with a low probability of causing a halt, which resulted in this morning's halt.
