Ethereum Ends Six-Month Losing Streak With 7% Gain in March
Ethereum (ETH) has finally ended a six-month losing streak after posting a 7% gain in March. The top altcoin had recorded losses from September to February, but the recent surge brings some relief to investors.
The move comes as BitMine Chairman Thomas Lee predicts that the global market sell-off is likely over and Ethereum will post a positive return. In an interview on CNBC's Closing Bell, Lee stated that he would be buying the market at current prices, citing that 90-95% of the sell-off is over.
Ethereum's price has been fluctuating in recent days, but it now trades above its 20-day EMA. According to Coinglass data, ETH recorded $57.4 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours, with $41.16 million of that coming from short positions.
