Trump's Crypto Comments Spark Speculation About XRP Adoption

A U.S. President's comments about cryptocurrency may signal a shift in Washington's stance on digital assets, according to crypto analyst Levi Rietveld.

In an interview clip from July 4, Donald Trump referred to cryptocurrency as 'a big deal' and emphasized the need for the United States to be competitive with China in AI and crypto. He stated that if the U.S. doesn't lead in these areas, China will gain the upper hand.

Rietveld believes this stance could pave the way for increased adoption of XRP and high-yield stablecoins.

The analyst points to a series of U.S. policy developments, including the creation of a 'strategic Bitcoin reserve' in March 2025 and the Genius Act signed in July 2025, which requires major stablecoins to be backed by U.S. dollars or short-term Treasuries.
