Brave Unveils BAT Roadmap 4.0: Everyday Payments and AI Integration

Brave has unveiled its Basic Attention Token (BAT) Roadmap 4.0, outlining initiatives to expand BAT's utility beyond digital advertising into everyday payments and artificial intelligence integration.

The roadmap introduces several key components, including support for AI agent payments using the x402 protocol and Machine Payments Protocol (MPP), enabling autonomous transactions on behalf of users.

Brave plans to launch a new Brave Wallet that integrates credit cards, cryptocurrencies, and the existing Brave Rewards system, creating a unified financial interface for users.

The roadmap also includes the development of BravePay, a stablecoin-based payment protocol for low-friction everyday transactions, as well as a stablecoin-based Brave Rewards card allowing users to spend BAT and other digital assets at traditional merchants.
