BGIN Unveils Prototype Bitcoin Miner at Industry Conference
BGIN Blockchain Limited has taken a significant step forward in its Bitcoin mining hardware development journey by unveiling a prototype miner called PortableBTC at the Bitcoin 2026 conference. The company's Chief Corporate Development Officer, Rezwan Mirza, revealed that the prototype is powered by BGIN's BT1 chip and represents an early milestone in their development process.
Mirza also participated in a panel discussion titled 'Lord of the Rigs: The Future of Mining Hardware' where he discussed the key factors involved in Bitcoin mining hardware competition, including ASIC design, machine manufacturing, operational efficiency, and power infrastructure.
According to BGIN's vision, the company aims to make cryptocurrency mining more accessible to various market segments through its 'Crypto for All' initiative. The unveiling of PortableBTC aligns with this goal and demonstrates the company's commitment to innovation in the field of Bitcoin mining hardware.
