Shibarium Transaction Drop Raises Questions About Network Activity
Shibarium, the layer two network of Shiba Inu, has experienced a significant drop in transactions after recent upgrades aimed at improving its capacity and stability.
The network's block explorer showed lower figures than actual on-chain activity during the upgrade process, which involved re-indexing the entire chain to improve data processing speed and overall stability.
According to Shibariumscan, the transaction count on the network fell from 7,420 on April 18 to 864 on April 21. This drop is expected to normalize as the explorer resets and shows accurate data on transaction volume, NFT activity, token balances, and wallet information.
