Allbridge Hit for $2M as Crypto Bridge Exploits Continue Unabated
Yet another cross-chain bridge has fallen victim to an exploit, this time Allbridge. The protocol, which facilitates stablecoin transfers between blockchain networks, lost approximately $1.65 million after an attacker bridged funds from Solana to Ethereum and converted them into ETH.
This is not the first time Allbridge has faced an attack. In April 2023, the protocol suffered a flash-loan attack on its BNB Chain liquidity pools, resulting in losses of around $570K. At the time, Allbridge recovered about $465K with the help of a white-hat hacker.
The current exploit is particularly notable due to its size and the fact that it involved bridging funds across two separate blockchain ecosystems.
Traders are advised to monitor the movement of these stolen funds, especially as they transition from Solana to Ethereum. On-chain intelligence platforms like Arkham will likely continue tracking the attacker's address, providing early signals for potential recovery or freeze possibilities.
