Bitcoin Surges Past $67K on Trump-Iran Deal News
Bitcoin's price surged past $67,000 for the first time in two weeks after US President Trump announced a deal with Iran on Sunday evening. The asset had been trading sideways between $61,000 and $64,000 since the start of June before the news broke. Trump's statement brought hope to the market, but new attacks from Israel against Lebanon put doubt on the situation.
Despite this, Bitcoin continued its climb and briefly reached a two-week high of over $67,000. It has now stabilized above $66,000 and its market cap stands at $1.330 trillion with a dominance rate of 56.5%.
Other altcoins followed suit, including Ethereum which tapped $1,850 for the first time since June. HYPE, the native token of Hyperliquid, continued to outperform, surging past $70 after another double-digit pump. XLM and UNI also saw significant gains with rises over 12% each.
