Hong Kong Gaming Firm Boyaa Interactive Seeks $70 Million Crypto Boost
Hong Kong-based gaming company Boyaa Interactive International is seeking a significant investment in cryptocurrencies to bolster its already substantial digital asset holdings.
According to official filings, the company aims to use up to $70 million of excess cash reserves to progressively build its crypto portfolio during periods of market weakness. This move would add to its current treasury of over $285 million, which comprises a significant stake in Bitcoin and a smaller holding in Ether.
The planned investment would further solidify Boyaa's position as one of the largest corporate holders of Bitcoin globally, ranking 23rd according to recent data from BitcoinTreasuries. The company has emerged as a major player in the Web3 gaming space after transitioning from traditional online card and board games in late 2023.
