Ripple's Swell 2026: A Major Crypto Moment for Institutional Adoption
Ripple is gearing up for its largest conference yet, Swell 2026, which will be held in New York from October 27-29. This year's event combines with XRPL Apex for the first time, attracting over 1,500 attendees and featuring more than 75 speakers across three stages.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, President Monica Long, and CTO Emeritus David Schwartz have highlighted the significance of Swell 2026, emphasizing institutional blockchain adoption and ecosystem growth. Garlinghouse described the event as a 'major crypto moment,' stating that it's one of those rare occasions when a moment is real.
The conference will cover various topics, including payments, tokenization, decentralized finance, artificial intelligence, and interoperability growth. Featured speakers include Matt Damon, co-founder of Water.org; Tom Farley, chairman and CEO of digital asset firm Bullish; and Brad Garlinghouse himself. The event's programming is designed to bring together participants from traditional finance, blockchain development, and the broader digital asset industry.
Ripple has highlighted enterprise use cases for XRP and its RLUSD stablecoin, including treasury management functions for corporate finance teams. Garlinghouse has also pointed to XRP's settlement speed, low transaction costs, and over 4 billion completed transactions on the XRP Ledger as indicators of network utility.
