Senate Unanimously Opposes Clemency for FTX Founder Sam Bankman-Fried
The U.S. Senate has unanimously opposed any federal clemency for Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX.
A nonbinding resolution, S.Res.772, was introduced by Senators Cynthia Lummis and Ruben Gallego on June 17 and approved without objection on July 15.
The measure states that under no circumstances should Bankman-Fried receive executive clemency, including a presidential pardon or sentence commutation.
This resolution follows Trump's earlier pardons of other prominent crypto figures, including Zhao and Ulbricht.
