Cryptocurrency Long-Term Performance Reveals Promising Results

A new study by Delphi Digital has shed light on the long-term performance of major cryptocurrencies. By analyzing daily price data from May 2016 onwards, the research firm found that Bitcoin and Ether generated positive returns in most five-year holding periods.

The analysis revealed that Bitcoin posted negative returns in only 11 windows over the full sample period, with a worst-case decline limited to about 13%. In contrast, Ether and Solana did not record a single losing five-year period when staking rewards were included.

The median five-year return was more than eightfold for Bitcoin and about 13-fold for Ether. This compares favorably with traditional assets such as Nvidia shares, which have risen about 14-fold over the past five years.
