Oman Mandates State-Run Bitcoin Mining Pool for Licensed Miners

Oman's government has introduced Omanhash.om, a state-run national bitcoin mining pool that all licensed miners in the country are required to join. This centralization effort aims to provide regulators with direct oversight of mining activity, revenue, and compliance.

The new pool is operated by Enegix Global, which also runs similar sovereign mining pools in Kazakhstan. Oman currently controls around 3% of the global bitcoin hashrate, thanks to significant investments in mining infrastructure, particularly in the Salalah Free Zone.
