Bitcoin Sees Increased Liquidity as Investors Rotate Back In
Bitcoin (BTC) is showing signs of increased liquidity, with investors rotating back into the largest cryptocurrency. This shift in behavior has been observed through on-chain metrics and futures positioning, both indicating a gradual change in investor sentiment.
The reopening of the stablecoin-to-BTC pipeline marks a significant development in this trend. As noted by analyst Darkfost, the realized cap hit an extreme low of -$28.7 billion at the end of February, while stablecoin market capitalization grew to over $6 billion. This defensive positioning reflected investors' intention to preserve capital without fully exiting the market.
However, recent data suggests that this strategy is no longer necessary. The realized cap has recovered to -$3 billion, and stablecoin capitalization has declined to -$1 billion. Capital that was previously sitting on the sidelines appears to be flowing back into Bitcoin.
