Cryptocurrency Market Experiences Significant Liquidations

The cryptocurrency market has experienced significant liquidations in the last 24 hours, with a total value of around $410 million.

The majority of the liquidations consisted of short positions, totaling over $240 million. Long positions worth approximately $165 million were also closed.

The high volatility of the market was a contributing factor to these forced liquidations. The use of leverage by traders increased their risk and led to many positions being automatically liquidated when losses exceeded certain thresholds.
