Tornado Cash Used for Another $2.1 Million in Stolen Ethereum

The latest move by the Gravity Bridge hacker has brought renewed attention to the ongoing challenge of tracing and recovering stolen digital assets.

In a series of transactions over the past 24 hours, the attacker moved an additional 1,180 Ethereum, valued at approximately $2.06 million, through Tornado Cash.

This brings the total amount of stolen funds sent through the mixer to 2,020 Ethereum, underscoring the persistence of security risks in the blockchain ecosystem.

The majority of the initial 2,600 Ethereum stolen from the Gravity Bridge smart contract has been routed through Tornado Cash, a protocol designed to obscure transaction trails on the Ethereum blockchain.
