Ripple CTO's Mysterious Profile Picture Sparks Speculation
Ripple's CTO Emeritus David Schwartz has set his profile picture to 'Fuzzybear', an image that has been associated with various conspiracy theories surrounding the XRP cryptocurrency. The move has sparked speculation and debate among XRP supporters, with some interpreting it as a recognition of meme culture from Ripple's leadership.
However, others believe that Schwartz is simply using humor to mock an overly impressionable audience. This interpretation is consistent with Schwartz's previous statements dismissing myths around the Fuzzybear conspiracy theory.
The 'Fuzzybear' image has its roots in 2013 when a wallet named Fuzzybear was activated by OpenCoin, and later became famous for a legendary DEX order offering 1 XRP for 1 BTC. Some believe that Ripple's CEO Brad Garlinghouse may have been behind the mysterious account.
It is worth noting that Schwartz has recently stated that there is no secret government plan to turn XRP into a global reserve currency, and that price predictions of $10,000 are mathematically irrational fantasies. He has also called investments in memecoins 'distasteful' stupidity.
