Zhao Proposes Quantum-Proofing Bitcoin Network Amid Quantum Attack Fears

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao suggests a potential solution to protect Bitcoin from quantum attacks.

Zhao, a well-known figure in the crypto industry, believes that even Satoshi Nakamoto's coins can be frozen to secure the network. He argues that this is necessary to prevent quantum computers from accessing dormant wallets and compromising security.

Zhao proposes transitioning the Bitcoin network to quantum-resistant cryptography within 6-12 months. During this time, every holder would need to move their coins to new addresses; otherwise, those held in retired addresses will be lost.
