Michael Saylor, co-founder of Strategy, has expressed concerns over Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP) 110. This proposal seeks to temporarily limit arbitrary data on the Bitcoin blockchain in an effort to reduce 'spam.' However, Saylor argues that this change could threaten Bitcoin's neutrality and lead to network splits by lowering miner approval thresholds.
Saylor suggests that market-based fees and relay policies are more effective solutions for managing data without altering Bitcoin's core consensus rules. He believes that maintaining Bitcoin as an open, permissionless financial system is crucial.
