The cryptocurrency market has become increasingly popular for speculation and prediction, as seen on Robinhood's crypto prediction market. One such market is focused on the price of Ripple (XRP) on a specific date in the future.
According to the contract offered by Robinhood Derivatives, LLC, participants can predict what the price of XRP will be at 7pm EDT on July 12, 2026. The contract resolves based on a simple average of the CF Benchmarks index for the 60 seconds prior to the specified time.
The market is open 24 hours a day, except for Thursday mornings from 3am-5am ET, when no trading is allowed due to maintenance. Participants can either close their positions before the event resolves or risk losing money if they hold onto the contract until it resolves.
