Crypto Options Expiry Worth $2.2B Signals Cautious Optimism

The forthcoming expiry of $2.2 billion in crypto options contracts is set to take place on April 10, with around 26,700 Bitcoin (BTC) options contracts expiring alongside 151,500 Ethereum (ETH) contracts.

Despite the combined notional value exceeding $2.2 billion, market analysts believe that the event will have a limited impact on spot prices due to its relatively small size compared to previous expiries.

The positioning of traders ahead of the expiry is, however, providing some insight into their expectations for both Bitcoin and Ethereum.
