Trump Media Transfers Large Quantity of Bitcoin to Crypto.com Amid Steep Losses

Trump Media & Technology Group (Nasdaq: DJT) has made a significant move in the cryptocurrency market by transferring 2,650 Bitcoin to Crypto.com. This transfer is estimated to be worth approximately $205 million and marks another step in the company's efforts to manage its digital asset holdings.

The move is widely seen as a potential signal that Trump Media is preparing to sell its Bitcoin holdings, which have resulted in significant losses for the company. Since purchasing 11,542 BTC for around $1.37 billion at an average price of $118,522 per coin, the company has incurred unrealized losses estimated to be over $455 million due to a decline in Bitcoin's value.

This is not the first time Trump Media has moved its Bitcoin holdings off its balance sheet. Four months ago, the company transferred 2,000 BTC valued at roughly $175 million, citing a collateral movement as the reason for the transfer.
