Chinese National Arrested in Nepal for Cryptocurrency Scam
A recent crackdown on cryptocurrency scams has led to the arrest of a Chinese national in Nepal. According to authorities, Zhu Yi-eng, 35, was arrested from Thamel area in the capital on April 2nd.
Police claimed that Zhu contacted locals through social media platforms and offered various attractive deals, which ultimately turned out to be scams. The team recovered transaction details worth Nepalese rupees (NRs) 179.97 million, along with three mobile sets and various documents during the arrest.
