IOTA Expands Digital Trade Infrastructure to UK with TWIN Framework

The IOTA Foundation has made significant strides in its mission to digitize global trade with the launch of its TWIN Framework in the UK. This ambitious project is built on the success of similar initiatives in Africa, where IOTA's digital trade infrastructure has already shown impressive results.

TWIN, or Trade Worldwide Information Network, enables verified trade data to be shared between customs authorities, freight forwarders, and supply chain participants in real-time. This integration with existing systems aims to reduce delays caused by manual interventions and paperwork, resulting in improved transparency throughout the supply chain.

The UK expansion is backed by a £3.5M seed capital boost, which will further support IOTA's efforts in developing this innovative digital trade infrastructure. The initiative has already garnered attention from industry leaders, who recognize the potential of blockchain technology to improve national trade operations.
