Cryptocurrency Market Sees Significant Gains as Ethereum Reaches New High

The cryptocurrency market experienced a significant surge on Monday, with Ethereum reaching its highest level in over five weeks. According to data from CoinGlass, Ether shorts were hit the hardest at $127.9 million.

Stocks tied to Ethereum also saw gains, including BitMine Immersion Technologies and SharpLink Gaming. The iShares Ethereum Trust ETF climbed 7.5% as Ethereum extended its recent rally.

The rally was fueled by a short squeeze, with $344 million in liquidations across 91,978 traders over the past 24 hours. Short positions accounted for about $284.9 million of the total, or roughly 83% of the total.
