Coinbase Launches 24/5 Stock Trading for Over 8,000 U.S. Equities

Coinbase has rolled out 24/5 stock trading for over 8,000 U.S. equities, marking a significant expansion of the platform beyond cryptocurrency.

The new feature offers zero commission fees on trades and supports fractional shares starting at $1 per share. Trading is available 24 hours a day, five days a week, with over 8,000 securities available in Coinbase Capital Markets, a FINRA and SIPC member broker-dealer.

Coinbase has also partnered with Yahoo Finance to allow users to trade stocks directly from research pages, reducing the time between discovery and action. Eligible users of Yahoo Finance will receive a one-month free trial version of Coinbase One Basic, which includes benefits such as no trading fees and USDC rewards.
