Lighter Successfully Tests New Liquidity Pool Strategy System
Lighter, a decentralized crypto exchange, has successfully tested its new liquidity pool strategy system during a significant stress event.
The test involved a $50 million ARC perpetual long squeeze attempt, which pushed the platform's upgraded LLP Strategies to their limits. The strategies, which separate market types and handle risk at the strategy level, successfully limited losses to $75,000.
The episode marked the first major test for Lighter's new system, which is designed to mitigate potential risks in liquidity provision. In this case, the strategies effectively contained the losses, protecting liquidity providers from significant financial damage.
ARC perps were assigned to Strategy #7, a high-risk strategy with a capped allocation of $75,000 in USDC. The platform's LLP was initially profitable on the position but experienced further downside before triggering another auto-deleveraging (ADL) event at 0.071123.
