Crypto Markets See Widespread Liquidations Amid US-Iran Tensions
The crypto markets have experienced a significant increase in liquidations over the past 24 hours, with a total of $817 million being erased from positions. This rise in liquidations can be attributed to the ongoing tensions between the US and Iran, which has led to risk-off sentiment across the market.
According to data, $661 million of these liquidations were short positions, indicating that traders may have been overly optimistic about the market's decline. This suggests that many traders may have been caught offside betting on further price drops.
