Hedera's 3.47% Surge Driven by ETF Inflows and EVM Upgrade
Hedera (HBAR) saw a significant price surge of 3.47% over the last 14 hours, driven by a combination of factors.
The single largest driver was renewed demand for HBAR's spot ETF, which experienced a net inflow of $539,964 in a single day, bringing cumulative inflows to around $104.85 million and ETF holdings to roughly 1.57% of HBAR's market cap.
This kind of ETF flow is mechanically price supportive, as the ETF must acquire HBAR on the market, absorbing supply and boosting sentiment.
In addition to the ETF inflow, Hedera also announced full EVM compatibility, allowing developers to deploy Solidity smart contracts using standard Ethereum tooling on Hedera. This upgrade reduces adoption friction for existing EVM developers, combining fast finality, low fees, and high throughput with the ability to use familiar Ethereum tools.
The broader crypto environment was also supportive, driven by improving US regulatory headlines and a short-squeeze-prone market environment. Bitcoin pushed above $66,000 on reports that the US 'Clarity Act' for digital assets moved closer to becoming law, unlocking risk appetite across altcoins.
