LIBRA Token Price Plummets After Reaching $4 Billion Market Cap
The LIBRA token's market capitalization reached $4 billion after Argentine President Alberto Fernández expressed support for it, but it soon collapsed, resulting in losses of over $250 million for investors.
Bubblemaps published a report detailing the token's liquidity manipulation and extraction of $87 million in crypto assets. The deployer added a single-sided liquidity pool on Meteora, then withdrew USDC and SOL, allowing for low-slippage fund transfer.
The report highlighted concentration of 82% of the token supply within the first hour of launch, as well as a lack of tokenomics and abnormal liquidity pool fees. These factors contributed to the token's collapse and subsequent losses for investors.
