Dplus KIA's Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Joon Lee has announced his departure from the South Korean esports organization. Lee led Dplus KIA since the LCK 2021 Summer split, during which time the team rebranded from DWG KIA to Dplus KIA.
The rebranding emphasized 'limitless connectivity' as a guiding principle for the new identity. One of those verticals turned out to be blockchain, with the STIX partnership launched in 2025 bringing a meme-driven fan token program to Dplus KIA's ecosystem.
Lee was instrumental in that transition, and his exit leaves an open question: who picks up the blockchain playbook? There is no publicly indicated successor for Lee as of July 10, 2026. The absence of a named successor creates a period of uncertainty.
