VanEck vs. Fidelity: Bitcoin ETFs Clash in Crypto Market

The VanEck Bitcoin ETF and Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund have been making waves in the crypto market, offering investors different options for tracking the performance of Bitcoin.

The VanEck Bitcoin ETF has a slightly lower expense ratio of 0.20%, but its assets under management are significantly lower at $1 billion. In contrast, the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund has an expense ratio of 0.25% and a massive $13.4 billion in assets under management.

Despite their differences, both funds have delivered nearly identical total returns since their launch in 2024, with some minor fluctuations due to market volatility.

Institutional adoption has lent credibility to Bitcoin, making it easier for investors to participate in its price movements without directly holding the digital asset. However, this also comes with significant risks and volatility.
