Global trading platform Pepperstone has launched its proprietary spot cryptocurrency exchange in Australia, targeting a 'price reset' by offering transparent pricing and reducing total trading costs for investors.

The new platform, which operates on a flat 0.1 percent commission model, will provide better execution quality by publishing both commissions and spreads upfront. This allows investors to assess total execution costs on a like-for-like basis, promoting transparency in the market.

Pepperstone's analysis of the Australian market revealed opaque pricing and limited fee competition, with total trading costs being significantly higher than advertised fees once spreads are taken into account. The new platform aims to address this issue by offering competitive pricing and improving execution quality.
